"Hard Hard Area Campaign" - OSHNET and ASPPI Bicol join forces for the region's number one safety program to complement the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) Zero Accident Program (ZAP) and the Bureau of Working Condition (BWC) Occupational Safety Standards (OSS).
The Association of Safety Practitioners (ASPPI) and Occupational Safety and Health Network (OSHNET) -Bicol is the two (2) most prominent private institution formed by DOLE-Bicol, BWC and OSHC composed of safety practitioners and management with the purpose of policing and implementing DOLE's Safety Standards in the workplace which is in accordance with the President's call for a Public-Private Partnership or PPP.
Locally, ASPPI, OSHNET and DOLE Bicol has coined this safety and heath measure as the "Hard Hat Area Campaign" or the "Hard-Hat Program". Contrary to what others believed, Hard Hat Area Campaign is not a different program but rather an information campaign aimed in creating a public awareness-stir on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) especially on construciton sites.
DAMA Bicol is a pet project of DOLE-V and the first in the history of DOLE.
It is aimed to improve the labor relations services of the office by forging a partnership with the tri-media in gathering labor complaints. The DAMA Project will give authority to radio, TV and other media outlets to receive labor complaints, whether anonymous or not, document it, and channel these complaints to the DOLE-Regional Office for appropriate action. DAMA-Bicol is also a feedback mechanism using the Two-Fold Uniform Sheet Complaint & Query (TUSOC-Q) Form.
