Kakanin vendor gets starter kit

Kakanin vendor Nora Padron, 66 of Poblacion, Tigaon expressed her joy when the cooking materials (livelihood package) were turned over to her.

She shared that she’s been selling siomai, kikiam and suman near an elementary school in the community. But due to the implemented quarantine, the students are restricted from going outside the classroom so she has to relocate her ‘paninda’.

Padron happily told DOLE Bicol that she is planning to cook meals instead and sell it to her neighbors.

“Dakulang tabang sa pangkabuhayan mi. Pagbebentahn ko ang mga kataraid mi nin panera pandagdag lamang sa income kang familia,” she said.

Padron is one of the sixty-one (61) beneficiaries who received the livelihood package amounting to P17,325 per kit granted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bicol through its Camarines Provincial Field Office and LGU Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Tigaon. The local office is headed by Ms. Ana Christine Soriano and Policarpio Malonda, respectively.

A simple turnover ceremony of the DOLE Kabuhayan program dubbed as, “Kinabukasan Segurado sa Disenteng Trabaho at Negosyo” was done yesterday, August 11, 2020 at

the Tigaon Public Market Event Center. The event was also attended by Hon. Arnulf Bryan Fuentebella, 4th District Representative and LGU Tigaon Mayor Pamela Rinah Fuentebella./ISO PR Code:2020_gud_Agust_13_Kakanin vendor gets starter kit
