At least 200 worker-beneficiaries in San Miguel, Catanduanes receive their wages today under Labor Department’s emergency employment following the devastation of the super typhoon in the island-province.

Under DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), each beneficiary will receive P310 per day for the 16-day cleanup drive. As initial payment, these workers get P2500.

Present during the payout of their wages are DOLE Bicol RD Joel M. Gonzales, AkoBicol representative Zaldy Co, LGU San Miguel Francisco Camano, Jr. and PFO Catanduanes Head Rosemarie Cleofe.
