DOLE Masbate released the check amounting to P873,302 to LGU Mandaon earlier today for the procurement of Kabuhayan starter kits to 35 skilled individuals to jumpstart their chosen livelihood.

Through DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program, low-income workers are given livelihood support to boost their economic activities, thus empowering them as productive members of the society.

This project aims to improve the socio-economic well-being of workers in the informal economy and reach the farthest of communities.

Present during the awarding ceremony were DOLE Masbate OIC, Provincial Head Lynette H. Dela Fuente, DILP Focal Dante Apring, LGU Mandaon Vice Mayor Emily E. Hao, PESO Manager Frank Obtial, Mun Treasurer Anthony Diaz and Community Facilitator Jayson Nuñez.
